Destination Education is looking for an Art & DT Teacher for an 11-19 co-educational comprehensive school located in the London Borough of Camden.  This will be a part time position (3 days per week) and will be starting as soon as possible.

The school is situated in the heart of London and is a nationally recognised school having won a variety of awards over the years.  The most recent Ofsted report noted ‘the curriculum is broad and often exceeds what is expected nationally’.  The ideal Art & DT teacher will be joining a supportive and outstanding team of dedicated colleagues and a school that prides themselves on a creative and dynamic learning environment with a forward thinking approach and a nurturing department.

Responsibilities of Art & DT Teacher:

• Teaching Art & DT in accordance with the curriculum at key stage 3-5
• Be responsible for the progress and welfare of students
• Maintain good behaviour and discipline policies at all times
• Keep up to date with current developments in the teaching of maths
• Prepare and mark student’s work in accordance with the national curriculum

Ideal Art & DT Teacher:

• Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
• Proven successful experience teaching across UK national curriculum
• Background teaching key stage 3 & 4 in UK schools
• Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with young people
