Here at Destination Education, we have short-term and long-term, as well as part-time or full-time, SEN Teaching Assistant roles available in many Secondary Schools across North London, East London, and Essex.

SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) Responsibilities:

• Assisting with pupils' physical needs, including hygiene and feeding, as well as assisting with therapy sessions
• Helping with pupils' school work under the supervision of an SEN teacher
• Helping pupils increase their confidence, self-esteem, and independence
• Work in groups or 1:1 with students that require extra support.
• Helping pupils who have difficulty communicating with others, including those whose first language is not English.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Passion for working with children in education.
• Experience supporting students/young adults
• Excellent communication skills, being able to work effectively as part of a team
• A positive, can-do attitude.
