About the Role
Destination Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive Primary School in Barnet. You will work closely with class teachers to assist pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping to deliver engaging lessons and ensuring that all learners are supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils across the primary age range.
• Assist with lesson preparation, classroom management, and resource organisation.
• Support pupils’ academic progress, social skills, and emotional wellbeing.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a calm and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to promote each child’s success.
• Contribute to school activities, assemblies, and enrichment opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with children in a primary school or educational setting.
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or classroom experience) are desirable but not essential.
