About the Role
Destination Education is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Walthamstow. This is an exciting opportunity to support children across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping them achieve their academic and personal goals within a caring and dynamic learning environment. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support, create engaging learning experiences, and ensure every pupil feels valued and included in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils across Key Stages 1 and 2.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and learning activities.
• Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help create a calm, inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to promote progress.
• Contribute to wider school life, including assemblies and enrichment activities.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting.
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for education and child development.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or classroom experience) are desirable but not essential.
