Destination Education is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive Primary School in Newham. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping them to develop academically, socially, and emotionally within a nurturing and well-resourced environment. You will work closely with the class teacher to provide targeted support to pupils, helping them engage fully in lessons and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils across the primary age range.
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom management, and learning activities.
• Support children’s academic progress, as well as their confidence and wellbeing.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote inclusion in all aspects of school life.
• Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and parents to support individual learning plans.
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives, enrichment activities, and assemblies.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience working with children in a primary school or educational setting.
• A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for education and helping children succeed.
• Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 or previous classroom experience are desirable but not essential.
