Primary Teacher Assistant 
Contract Type: Full time, Part time and Supply

We are currently seeking an experienced Teacher Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team in Islington. The role is ideal for someone who has a passion for working with students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and is looking for a flexible opportunity. This position can be full-time, part-time, or supply, offering a variety of schedules to suit the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, particularly those with SEN.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities tailored to the needs of individual students.
• Support the emotional and social development of students, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
• Help students with SEN to develop essential skills and promote their independence in class.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching staff.
• Assist with classroom management and ensure a positive, safe learning environment.
  

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to different teaching styles and student needs.
• A genuine passion for supporting the development of young people with diverse learning needs.
• Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one).
  

Desirable Qualifications:

• Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (Level 2 or 3).
• Experience working in a classroom setting with SEN students.
• Understanding of various SEN needs such as Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, etc.
