Teaching Assistants & SEN Teaching Assistants – Walthamstow

Destination Education is working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream Primary School in Walthamstow that is looking to appoint enthusiastic Teaching Assistants and SEN Teaching Assistants for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, as well as work one-to-one with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support for the class teacher and pupils.
• Deliver tailored support to individual pupils or small groups, including those with SEN such as Autism, ADHD, or Speech & Language needs.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Encourage and motivate pupils to reach their full potential both academically and socially.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (desirable).
• A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• An Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
