About the Role
Destination Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Primary School Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in East Finchley. This full-time role is ideal for a confident Key Stage 2 teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils as they continue to build on their learning journey. The school has a strong community ethos, supportive leadership, and a clear focus on high standards of teaching and learning.
You will take full responsibility for a Year 4 class, working closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to ensure all pupils are challenged, supported, and able to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 4 curriculum.
• Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing clear feedback and next steps.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to parents’ evenings and staff meetings.
• Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS or equivalent.
• Has recent experience teaching in a UK primary school, ideally in Key Stage 2.
• Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Has excellent curriculum knowledge and the ability to differentiate effectively.
• Is committed to high expectations, pupil progress, and teamwork.
