Temp to Perm | Full-Time from September

A highly regarded specialist SEN school in High Barnet is seeking a passionate and proactive Careers Leader to join their team from September on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis.
This is a unique opportunity to take a strategic and impactful role within a supportive school that specialises in working with students with autism and additional needs. The Role:

  • Lead and develop the school’s careers programme, tailored to the needs of students with SEN and autism
  • Deliver engaging and accessible careers education, including employability skills, pathways, and transition planning
  • Build strong links with colleges, training providers, employers, and external agencies
  • Organise work experience opportunities, encounters, and meaningful real-world learning
  • Track and monitor student progression, ensuring compliance with Gatsby Benchmarks
  • Support students and families with post-16/19 transition planning

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in careers education, guidance, or a related role (teaching background desirable)
  • Strong understanding of SEN, particularly autism, and the challenges around transition into adulthood
  • Knowledge of careers frameworks such as the Gatsby Benchmarks
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Passionate about improving outcomes and opportunities for young people
