About the Role
Destination Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Islington. This is a full-time position, starting immediately or from October 2025, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and creative school environment that values high-quality teaching and a strong sense of community. As a Primary Class Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 curriculum, tailored to meet the needs of all learners. You will play a vital role in creating a positive and inspiring classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and confidence. The successful candidate will be a reflective practitioner who values teamwork, creativity, and inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver creative lessons that align with the National Curriculum.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes engagement and achievement.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support ongoing development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure each child’s success.
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives, extracurricular activities, and enrichment opportunities.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and attainment.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Has recent experience teaching in KS1 or KS2.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and a passion for inspiring young learners.
  • Has a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Is enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to professional growth.
