Why You Should Teach in London

Over the next five years, the UK will face a crisis where swelling pupil numbers combine with a lack of available qualified teachers. This is where you come in!

Plus it’s an amazing opportunity to teach someone new, travel new places, meet new people and have the time of your life!

There are typically 3 ways overseas teachers decide to work in the UK:

  • Daily Supply – Others may choose to daily supply the entire length of their stay
  • Daily Supply to Long-Term – Many will start with daily supply before choosing a long-term position once they are settled in
  • Long-term from the start – Some choose to enter a long-term or permanent teaching job immediately and this is usually secured before heading over via Skype interview

We find this is what works for most teachers and you may even decide to chop and change depending on what works for you.

Bringing a partner with you but they aren’t a teacher? Have they thought about being a teaching assistant? A teaching assistant is someone who supports the teacher and students within the classroom and takes on a number of tasks including photocopy, lesson preparation, small group support, 1:1 support, and much more!
